Everything you need to know about inTension Pilates.
inTension Pilates Waitlist Policy
At inTension Pilates, we strive to ensure that every member has a fair opportunity to attend their desired classes. To maintain an efficient and positive booking experience, please review and follow our waitlist policy:
Waitlist Commitment
- Please only add yourself to the waitlist if you are committed to attending the class. Adding yourself without the intention of attending may prevent other members from securing a spot and disrupts overall class availability.
Cancellation Policy for Waitlisted Classes
- Added inside 8 (eight) hours of class: If you are added to a class from the waitlist inside 8 (eight) hours of the class start time and cannot attend, you will not be charged.
- Added outside 8 (eight) hours of class start: If you are added to a class from the waitlist outside 8 (eight) hours of class start and do not attend, the late cancel/no-show policy specific to your membership will apply. If you cannot attend, please remove yourself from the class clearing the way for the next person on the waitlist.
- When you’re upgraded from the waitlist to the class, you’ll receive an email confirmation as well as a text message (if subscribed).
Note: The auto-add from the waitlist closes two (2) hours before the start of class. If a spot opens up inside the two (2) hour mark, a text message will be sent to all remaining members on the waitlist with a link to add yourself to the class; this is a first come, first served basis and no longer utilizes the order of the waitlist. To ensure the best experience, make sure you’re logged into your account via the website (the link will not take you to the app).
Avoid Double-Booking and “Back-up Classes”
Please do not add yourself to multiple classes, including classes with waitlists. This prevents others from accessing spots and ensures fair access for all members. Late Cancel and/or No Show fees as a result of double-booking classes are the responsibility of the member.
Plan on Attending Waitlisted Classes
Although the waitlists may seem daunting, the waitlists clear more often than not.
Rule of thumb: If you add yourself to the waitlist for a class, treat that as though you’re going to attend the class; it’s very rare that the waitlist does not clear.

The XFormer is the machine at the centre of every inTension class — a next-level version of the traditional Pilates reformer. A sliding carriage moves against adjustable springs, so you set the resistance and stay in control of every inch of the movement.
Because the work stays slow and continuous, your muscles spend far longer under tension while your joints take almost none of the impact. That is what lets a single class build strength, raise your heart rate and stretch you out at the same time.
You do not need any experience on one. Your instructor sets your springs, walks you through the movements and stays with you through your first class.
While we appreciate and often incorporate traditional Pilates, inTension Pilates is all about high-intensity workouts. Our classes are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, with a strong focus on resistance training. What sets us apart from other high-intensity Pilates studios is our variety — we offer muscle-specific classes, as well as cardio and stretch sessions. You can explore detailed descriptions of each class on our classes page.
We are not connected to any other Pilates methods — inTension Pilates is a unique method all its own!
When you arrive, you’ll step into our bright, clean, and welcoming lobby, where our front desk receptionist will greet you and direct you to the lockers for your belongings.
We recommend arriving at least 5 minutes (15 minutes prior if you are a first-time client) before your scheduled class. This gives you time to grab a drink from our lobby fridge, change into your sticky socks, chat with fellow class members, and listen to any important announcements from your instructor before class begins.
Once class kicks off, you’ll walk through the lobby’s glass doors into our vibrant studio — picture neon lights, beautifully-lit mirrors, energizing music, and a vibe that’s nothing but electric!
For the next 50 minutes, your instructor will guide you step-by-step through the specified workout for the day. In addition to hands-on coaching, you’ll also have access to television screens around the studio displaying exercise demonstrations!
You’ll leave inTension Pilates feeling stronger, refreshed, and ready to take on the rest of your day.
The XFormer is our secret weapon for a killer workout! It’s a next-level version of the traditional Pilates reformer, designed to add extra resistance and variety to your routine. With its adjustable springs and platforms, it lets you target multiple muscle groups, combining strength training, cardio, and flexibility all in one. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, the XFormer adapts to your fitness level, giving you a challenging and fun workout every time!
Classes at inTension Pilates will also take your workout to the next level by incorporating mini bands, long resistance bands, and light dumbbells to give you the ultimate workout experience.
We’re excited to welcome first-time clients to inTension Pilates!
At inTension Pilates, your First Class is FREE, or take advantage of our special offer — two classes for just $40. The two classes must be used within one month of purchase.
If it’s your first time, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early. Our front desk receptionist will walk you through a XFormer demo in the lobby, so you feel confident and ready before class begins. Sticky socks are a must for class and can be purchased right at the studio or you are welcome to bring your own.
Yes! You are welcome to purchase gift cards in-person or online. Our gift cards never expire and can be used to purchase classes or retail items.
The cancellation or change grace period depends on your membership or class pack. Higher-tier memberships offer a 6-hour cancellation window without penalty, while other options allow for a 12-hour cancellation window.
If you have a class pack and cancel within the allowed window, you’ll lose a class credit but won’t be charged a late cancellation fee.
For clients with an unlimited class membership, a $25 late cancellation fee will apply if you cancel your reservation within 12 hours of class time.
A $25 no-show fee will be charged if you don’t attend a class you’re enrolled in.
We strictly enforce our cancellation policy to keep things fair and ensure everyone has a chance to join a class. We get that life happens and emergencies come up, but this policy helps respect those eager to snag a spot and keeps you accountable for staying on track with your fitness goals!
Yes, first-time clients under the age of 16 must have a parent sign a waiver before attending class, and any minor under the age of 16 must have a guardian present in the class they’re taking.
While most memberships do not require a term, the VIP, VIP+, and Bronze memberships require a 6-month commitment. Please see the terms and conditions for your membership for details on the term and cancellation policy.
Advanced booking is based on the membership that you hold:
- VIP – 10 day booking window
- VIP+ and Diamond – 14 day booking window
- Platinum, Gold, Silver, and class-packs – 7 day booking window
- Bronze memberships have a 5-day booking window

We ask that you attend classes wearing athletic clothing. Please no denim or clothing with zippers, grommets, rivets, or other metal that could potentially damage the machines.
Sticky socks are required for every class. The sticky/grip socks ensure safety from slipping while on the XFormer.
If you don’t have sticky socks, we will have them available to purchase in the studio.
